Your Consultant and Mentor

Ed is a safeguarding consultant, and mentor who has extensive experience of working within the social care sector spanning over 15 years. As a qualified social worker he has spent his career within local authority statutory child protection services. For the last five years he has been working as a child protection chair and local authority designated officer (LADO) for several local authorities in the South West. Ed knows what good and outstanding safeguarding practice looks like and how this directly impacts outcomes for children. Through his collaborative work with partner agencies, he understands deeply the complexities and challenges faced by safeguarding leads on a daily basis. He is looking forward to working directly with safeguarding leads and decision makers and supporting them in their incredible work.
